The NanoFx® (Nanofracture) offers a “Smaller, Deeper, Better” solution compared to a standard microfracture procedure. The tools are specially designed for performing a microfracture procedure for treatment of small localized articular cartilage defect sites.

Smaller, Deeper and Better perforation results in Better Osteochondral Repair
- Improved reactivity to type II collagen which a major component of normal cartilage matrix
- Decreased reactivity to type I collagen (fibro cartilage)
- More proteoglycans in the repair tissue

How is the treatment being performed?
It can be performed using Arthroscopy. Every perforation about 2-3mm apart.
Recovery Period & Physiotherapy Involved.
Recovery Period & Physiotherapy Involved. Patient has to be non-weight bearing for 6 weeks post-surgery. The Physiotherapy regiment is Similar to Microfracture procedure.
